Breath. A few months ago I heard a voice ask me "what role will you play in the revolution?" To which I responded "A healer." The voice continued with "The time is now."
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others, "
No longer hiding in the darkness allowing fears to guide me, I am stepping with faith more and more into my light. I invite you to do the same. Let's shine our light so bright that all others can do in our presence is shine as well. It is with this energy that we go beyond hatred or any external factors into a state of true love
Like Martin Luther King Jr. said "Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that"
Where do we begin? In the midst of chaos we still have the opportunity to be grateful, not grateful for but grateful in, grateful even in circumstances that feel horrible. As we practice recognizing our blessings regardless of circumstances then our inner light will guide us to next steps.
"No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it," (Albert Einstein).
Fear has created a divided country. Fear has created oppression of marginalized communities. Fear has us creating real consequences to attributes we are born with. Fear is darkness and will only brith more fear and darkness. When we come in faith and in our light to those same questions, our inner light guides us to the solutions.
Today I invite you to a simple practice:
Think of a time that you cannot deny the presence of the Universe/ God/ oneness. Maybe it's your child's birth, maybe it's the meeting of your significant other, maybe it's a job that you got that you didn't think you were qualified for, maybe it's the way community came together to fight an issue you believe in. Whatever it is, get really interested in that story until that light fills you.
From this place this place of faith we can ask our intuition for guidance on what next step to take to create the world we would love to see.
Sending light and love your way always.
